The exhibition was held in 2015 and the goal of the "Inconvenience of Expression Exhibition" was to highlight the censorship faced by artists of all kinds in Japan. The exhibition features works that were deprived of opportunities for expression due to systemic discouragement. This includes photographs, painting, music and other kinds of art. The photography portion of the exhibition will be covered by the photo magazine Pixel Magazine which will include interviews and features of various photographers showcased at the exhibition.
Other Art displayed will include the issues of "comfort women", "the emporer and war", "colonial rule", "article 9" and criticism of the government which has been absent in publically run cultural institutions. The reasons for censorship will be highlighted next to all the artwork to bring awareness and fight for more freedom in the future.
